For ours, it was the Easter lamb cake. Each spring, the pan came out of storage, the kitchen filled with the comforting aroma of fresh white cake, and the finished cake proudly sat on the family cake stand, surrounded by frosting and green-dyed coconut "grass." Like so many treasured traditions, the pan was eventually lost—but the memories never were.
